Obys is an agency that was born in Kharkiv. Kharkiv is the 2nd largest city in Ukraine and the former capital. In 1910-30s, Kharkiv was the main center of Ukrainian modernism, art, and culture.

Due to the war in Ukraine and our separation from our native home (Kharkiv is located several tens of kilometers away from the front), we began a research journey in search of inspiration and self-identity dedicated to Kharkiv modernism.

Several months of studying works, books, and films led us to the idea of reinterpreting the achievements of key Kharkiv modernists using modern artificial intelligence technologies.
